Disability Discrimination Act Employment Workshop Overview This workshop focuses on the employment provisions of the DDA. It examines their practical application in recruitment, selection and management of staff. Length 1-day Who Should Take This Course Managers and supervisors who need to explore in some depth the employment implications of the DDA, human resources team staff who are unfamiliar with the Act ought need to review their understanding of its practical effect. Class Size 10-15 people. Learning Objectives After completing this course participants should understand the requirements of the employment provisions of the DDA, and understand key cases which have clarified the interpretation of different aspects of the Act. They will be able to describe the impact on, and implications of, the Acts employment provisions on their own organisation and what measures (if any) have already been taken to comply. Style of Learning The trainer uses a mixture of audiovisual and exercise based materials to facilitate participants to explore current organisational provisions and identify gaps. |
